About Me

Welcome to The Travels of Helen of Troy!

That girl on the boat is me! My name is Helen Moser, and I'm a somewhat recent journalism and political science graduate of the University of Southern California. I created this blog to chronicle my travel experiences: It's a sort of online journal to share with friends, family, and whoever else happens upon it.

Currently I'm spending the year in Chittagong, Bangladesh as part of the
WorldTeach program at the Asian University for Women. I have a passion for women's issues and am so excited to be able to work with amazing women from 13 different South and Southeast Asian countries here. The plan is to complete this year and then continue on to graduate study back in the United States. But not before I stomp all over Asia first!

Last year I taught high school on the tiny island of Kosrae, Micronesia also with WorldTeach. And before that I was in Germany as part of the
Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program. My past entries also include descriptions of a summer I spent in Taiwan and and my study abroad experience in Edinburgh, Scotland.

I have the wanderlusting gene and love writing about all my adventures. If you enjoy corny jokes, lengthy descriptions of food, and reading about someone's misadventures you've come to the right place. Enjoy!
